Website for Brea: Welcome to the City of Brea. Meeting starts at 7 PM. OCSD Representative is Roy Moore, who, in my opinion, has been conscientious and willing to listen to public input.
Fountain Valley is an enigma, with OCSD Representative and Mayor Laurann Cook unavailable recently for meetings. Fountain Valley should be sympathetic to its neighbors Huntington Beach, Newport Beach and Costa Mesa, but it is home to Plant 1 of OCSD, so its relationships with its neighbors may be somewhat skewed. One would think Fountain Valley would want increased business and revenues from increased OCSD operations, and the plant is right off the freeway, so traffic from operations should not be a factor. But Fountain Valley is the one city council without televised city council meetings, so it can conduct business without the usual public visibility. Since the mayor has been unavailable, our recourse is to attend the city council meeting to persuade the other council members.

number 46 says:
This is on the consent calendar, so no testimony is needed unless someone calls it up. However, a few of us should be there in case it is called up for discussion. It is commendable of Supervisor Silva to put this resolution on the agenda.
